Hotel PERK in Šumperk awarded the prestigious One MICHELIN Key

Hotel PERK in Šumperk has been awarded the prestigious One MICHELIN Key by the renowned Michelin Guide, recognizing the most exceptional hotels in the world. This distinction confirms the outstanding level of service, design, and hospitality the hotel offers, placing PERK among just ten such awarded hotels in the Czech Republic, three outside Prague, and making it the only awarded hotel in Moravia.

A functionalist gem reborn in a modern spirit

Hotel PERK has been completely renovated from the original Grand building, constructed in 1931 in the functionalist style. The sensitive restoration, carried out with respect for its architectural heritage, was completed after nearly two years of work, and the hotel reopened in June 2023. Today, it blends elements of period functionalism with modern interior design, which received the Public Interior of the Year award in 2024.

Together with its restaurant PERK, the hotel focuses on local gastronomy, a personal approach to guests, and an emphasis on detail—both in its facilities and in the care provided to clients.

What One MICHELIN Key means

The MICHELIN Key is a new distinction for hotels, similar to the stars awarded to restaurants. It is granted for exceptional character, quality of service, authenticity, and the ability to offer guests a truly memorable experience. One MICHELIN Key designates a hotel that significantly exceeds standard expectations and leaves a lasting impression on its guests.
